David Martin

David Martin (born February 22, 1981, in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is a professional American tennis player. Before attending Stanford, David was a US Open Juniors doubles champion with eventual Stanford teammate K. J. Hippensteel. In 2007, Martin and fellow American Scott Lipsky qualified for the 2007 Wimbledon men's doubles tournament, where the pair lost in the third round. He and Lipsky reached the ATP Los Angeles men's doubles final in 2007, where the team lost in straight sets to the top-ranked Bob and Mike Bryan. His highest doubles ranking is World Number 38, which was achieved on May 12, 2008, and is also his ranking as of May 24, 2008. Martin is a lefthander and currently resides in Huntington Beach, California. David Martin is the nephew of Billionaire Tim Headington.
