Jeff Ulbrich

Jeff Ulbrich (pronounced /UL-brick/) (b. on February 17, 1977 in San Jose, California) is a player in the NFL. He plays the linebacker position. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 3rd round (86th overall) in the 2000 NFL Draft. He went to University of Hawaii. Ulbrich is a converted baseball player with good instincts and intelligence. He is a big hitter and a high-effort type. He doesn't make many mistakes and does well in zone coverage. He is limited in man coverage. Ulbrich attended Live Oak High School (Morgan Hill, CA), and lettered three times in football and twice in wrestling. In football he was a First-team All-League and team MVP. In wrestling, he won a league title (191 pounds). Jeff redshirted in his lone season at San Jose State before transferring to Gavilan Junior College. He earned first-team All-Conference and team MVP in lone season at Gavilan Junior College in Gilroy, CA. He was a two-year starter at Hawaii.
