The 2010 United States Open Golf Championship, the 110th U.S. Open, began on June 17 and ended on June 20. This was the fifth U.S. Open to be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links, and the first since 2000. The Championship was won by Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland. He became the first European to win the U.S. Open since Tony Jacklin in 1970. About half the field each year consisted of players who are fully exempt from qualifying for the U.S. Open.
